Abla Nassif Dow (9/21/41-8/21/22)
Abla was born in Lebanon to Nassif and Lillian Dow (Daou). The second oldest of seven children she started her early life as a teacher. Upon immigrating to the United States in 1974 she became a caregiver and eventual matriarch to her large extended family. She is predeceased by her parents and older brother Joseph and survived by her siblings Elias (Marie-Claude), Sonia, Emile, Basem (Najwa), and Ibtissam (Gaby). She is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews who all adored her. Abla relished her roles as daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and Godmother to many. She provided unlimited love, hospitality, and delicious food to her family and multitudes of guests in her home who became like family. Abla possessed an unwavering faith and was a living example of Christ in the way she served her church, community, and family, always putting the need of others before herself.
Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday evening 6 to 8 PM and Thursday morning 9:15 to 10:15 AM at the D’Anjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA. 19008. Funeral Mass 11 AM at St. Sharbel’s Church. Interment Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery. Contributions in Abla’s memory may be made to St. Sharbel’s Church, 3679 Providence Rd., Newtown Sq., PA 19073.
