Albert V. Jeuell

JEUELLAlbert V. Jeuell, of Berwyn, Pa. died suddenly on Tuesday, April 11. Son of the late Albert and Lyda Jeuell. He was the beloved husband of Joyce V. Jeuell (née Vottima) and step father of Peter Andrew Hellberg (Karin) of Malvern and Alex Vottima Hellberg (Gina) of New York, grandfather of Andrew A. Hellberg, and niece Linda Henson.Mr. Jeuell, originally from Wilmington, De., graduated from Conrad High School, where he was an All State Soccer player, and Wilmington College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business. He served in the United States Navy from 1970-1974 where he was a radioman aboard the USS DuPont. He was an elected council man in Wilmington’s 4th District where he was also a police director. Mr. Jeuell was a draftsman at the Hercules Company for 20 years and for the past 17 years was the National Sales Manager for the Smarties Candy Company. He enjoyed handing out Smarties to flight attendants and pilots on his many trips. One US Air pilot requested a photo with him to show his son that he had met the “Smarties Candy Man”.Mr. Jeuell was an avid sports fan, and though often frustrated, loved the Phillies, where he had season tickets. A member of the Ocean City Fishing Club, he loved spending time at his home in Ocean City, being with his wife and family and traveling. Mr. Jeuell was also the 12th juror selected for the 1998 Thomas Capano murder trial in Wilmington, where he spent more than three months listening to testimony.Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Monday evening, 6-7:45 PM at the Danjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008.
