Andrew “Astro” Michael Mazzer, 42, originally of Santa Monica, passed away on April 15, 2026. He is survived by his beloved parents, Michael Mazzer and Margaret “Peggy” Danielson; his devoted sister, Amanda Masciantonio (née Mazzer), his best friend; and his cherished niece and nephew, Anabelle and Dominick Molina, whom he loved beyond measure.

Andrew was one of the kindest souls anyone could hope to know — a steady presence to his friends and a light in the lives of all who met him. Artistic and creative by nature, athletic in spirit, and deeply committed to his work, he approached every part of his life with passion and dedication. Gentle-hearted and genuine, he carried no malice and rarely spoke an unkind word. His warmth, loyalty, and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Above all else, Andrew was a family man. His parents were his foundation, his sister was his heart, and his niece and nephew were the greatest joy of his life. His love for them was constant, unwavering, and deeply felt.

I so enjoyed all of our camping trips together. Andrew was a beautiful soul. He leaves a hole in my heart; will miss his joyful and kind spirit.
