Ann Ruza

Ann T. Ruza, (nee Mikula) age 97, passed peacefully on May 31, 2023. Ann was born January 31, 1926. Ann raised her family in Springfield, Pa before residing in Granite Farms Estates of Media, Pa until she passed. She proudly spoke of her employment at International Paper Company, Primos Pa, where she dedicated 25 years. Ann loved making crafts and was known to make albums and scrapbooks for her family. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking and baking, often making Slovakian treats for holidays. Gardening was also one of her many hobbies, having spent time in her garden while residing in Springfield planting various vegetables and flowers, especially violets and sunflowers. Most of all, family times and gatherings were very important to her, always holding a special place in her heart.

Ann is survived by her sister Martha Yandziak. She is predeceased by her other siblings Emil Mikula, Amelia Lichman, Sister Berchmans de Jesus, Rudy Mikula, and Mary Parisi.

Survived by her children, Marian T. Swain and John A. Ruza,  and her late son Robert P. Ruza (Kaaron). Ann is also survived by her grandchildren Gary Swain (Denise), Debbie Hurd (Bob), Cheryl Swain, Danielle Estes (Dennis), Tiffany Davide, Georgette Ruza (Paul), Desiree Jeffrey, Robert Paul Ruza, Julianna Ruza, and John Ruza. In addition, Ann also had many great and great-great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

Relatives & friends are invited to her Viewing Thursday, June 8^th 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM followed by her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM ALL IN CHURCH at Holy Cross Church 651 E. Springfield Rd., Springfield, PA 19064.  Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
