RAPAGNANIAnna Rapagnani of Brookhaven passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 10, 2016 . Anna grew up in Citta S. Angelo, Pescara, Italy, where she earned a Bachelor Degree in Education from the Istituto Magistrale. At the age of 22 she was a certified elementary school teacher. Her first assignment was in a small town of Citta S. Angelo, where she taught the 2nd grade. She loved teaching. In 1972 she came to the United States and married Nick Rapagnani. She wanted to let everyone know how important it was to learn the Italian language, music, culture, cooking , as well as to think like an Italian. She was a member of the Board of Directors for the Associazione Regionale Abruzzese Delco. She taught for 20 plus years of Italian with evening classes that started at Don Guanella Village and continued at Neumann University. She also conducted private lessons at home. Daughter of the late Fernando & Dora Massimini. Survivors: devoted wife of Nick Rapagnani. Loving mother of Danielle (Rob) Raushi and Nicholas (Carolina) Rapagnani. Also survived by her grandchildren Kaylee, Robert, Paolo. Sister of Piero (Ivana) Massimini, Valter (Giovina) Massimini, Paolo (Annamaria) Massimini.
