Anthony Joseph DiGalbo “Strokes”, entered into his eternal rest suddenly April 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born October 15, 1947, in Southwest Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Nancy and Joseph DiGalbo.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Constance “Connie” DiGalbo (nee Leis). Loving father of Anthony (Robin) DiGalbo. Cherished grandfather to Anthony (Brittany), Dominic (Danielle), Christian (Katherine), Collin, Gianna, and Great grandfather to Enzo, and Gabriel.
Anthony is also the brother of Joseph (Judy) DiGalbo, Joanna (Michael) Casella, Stephine (Larry) Grau, and Helene (David) Davis.
Relatives & Friends are invited to his viewing on the evening of Thursday April 10th from 6:00-8:00pm at the D’anjolell – Stigale Memorial Home 3260 Concord Rd. Aston and to his funeral Friday April 11th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 2130 Franklin Ave. Morton, Pa. 19070. Funeral mass will be at 11am. Interment will be at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
Anthony, known to most as Tony, was a union carpenter for over 30 years, leaving a lasting impact on those who worked alongside him. He was a dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Anthony cherished Friday dinners with his great-grandbabies, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
His eccentric personality and love for Cape May were well-known among family and friends. Where he enjoyed dinners with his brother and cherished moments with his sisters and family. He enjoyed taking walks with his wife and dogs to watch the sunsets, creating countless memories on the boardwalk. His love for the beach was evident in his passion for fishing and crabbing with his family, and in recent years, he cherished beach time with his great-grandkids, who affectionately called him “Gran-Gran.”
Anthony was born in Southwest where he grew up around 51st and Woodland. He took great pride in watching his grandkids play sports, traveling all over the country to support them. He loved to brag about all their successes. He had a love for luxury, evident in his fondness for Cadillacs, leather jackets, and jewelry. He was always the coolest guy in the room catching your eye as soon as he walked in.
His Italian heritage was a touchstone in his life, and he loved passing down the art of carpentry to his grandkids, instilling a sense of pride in the next generation. He was a devoted Catholic who always embraced his faith. Anthony will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his love for family, and his passion for the finer things in life. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will be held close to the hearts of all who knew him.
