SULLIVAN 1935-2018Barbara Ann Sullivan, 82 of the Villages, FL passed away peacefully on Monday March 26. Born in the Bronx, NY on October 15, 1935. Barbara was the daughter of the late Otto Pentenrieder and Nancy (Carty).After graduating high school, Barbara was employed as a secretary for the Revlon Corporation in New York City. She married John, the boy next door and high school sweetheart on June 16, 1956 at St. Barnabas Church in the Bronx. Barbara and John enjoyed over 61 years of happiness together and raised two sons, Steven and Michael.Barbara and John spent many of their early years together traveling while John served in the US army. They later settled in Yonkers, NY where John taught high school and was a member of the army reserves.Family was the most important thing to Barbara and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She and John made it a point to visit them for birthdays and holidays and would telephone often just to find out how they were doing. She was very proud of all of their accomplishments.Barbara was very active in her church and became a Eucharistic minister for the St. Timothy Catholic Church in the Villages. Barbara also loved her dogs and went nowhere without them. She also enjoyed watching the Golden Girls on TV where she would laugh as much the 20th time she saw an episode as she did the first time she saw it.In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her son Michael Otto Sullivan and brother Michael Otto Pentenrieder.Barbara is survived by her son, Steven (Maureen) of Austin Texas and daughter-in-law Donna of Newtown Square, PA., grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Sean, Eleni, Sam and several nieces and nephews.Visitation and funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday, April 2nd at St. Timothy Church in the Villages. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be given the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 1351 Paige, PL, Lady Lake, FL 32159. Sentiments may be left online at www.hiers-baxley.comFor those who would like to pay their respects, there will be a Visitation on Wednesday, April 4th 9:30 AM followed by her Memorial Service at 10:30 at the Danjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, Pa 19008. Interment Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
