Im Loving Memory of Bernard Patrick McGinley
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bernard Patrick McGinley, beloved father, brother, and friend, on 20-November-2024 at the age of 83. Born to George, originally of Donegal, Ireland, and Jean, of Edinburgh, Scotland, Bernard Patrick McGinley carried with him a legacy of love, humor, and determination that touched everyone he met. He was a graduate of both West Catholic High School and Saint Joseph’s University. He worked for Philadelphia Electric Company for 35 years retiring at 53.
Bernard Patrick McGinley was preceded in death by his cherished bride, Connie, with whom he shared a lifetime of laughter, partnership, and unwavering devotion. Together, they built a life filled with love and family. Leaving a lasting legacy of compassion and kindness.
The fifth of nine siblings, Bernard Patrick McGinley embraced his large family with endless warmth and camaraderie, bringing joy to every gathering. His love for golf was legendary, and he proudly achieved the title of club champion, a reflection of his skill and dedication to the game he adored. Over the years, he delighted in six remarkable hole-in-ones, a testament to his precision and passion.
His laughter, wisdom, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bernard Patrick McGinley is survived by his five children Bernie, Michael, Connie, Paul and Mark and his loving siblings George (Patti), Mike (Connie) Jean Lisko (Rich) Annabelle Proulx (Joe)Mary Troutner (Henry) and his Sister in law Rosemary Myers (John) and a host of extended family and friends who held him dear. He is preceded in death by Margaret Peg Martinko (Pete) John (Patricia) and Jimmy (Lana)
A celebration of Bernard Patrick McGinley’s life will be held on 30-November-2024 Viewing 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM ALL IN CHURCH at Saints Philip and James Catholic Church, where family and friends are invited to share memories and honor a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
