

























































































Haughey 1932-2016Betty Haughey, 83, of Glen Riddle, died November 6, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late John Haughey, and adored Mother of Kathy, Phyllis, Christine, David, and Dennis. She attended Chester High School in Chester, PA. She was a grandmother to Rachel, Megan, John, Steven, Matthew, and Lauren. She had three great grandchildren.Betty was employed as a manager at Pantry Pride, and Shop’n Bag Supermarkets for over 20 years. She was known for her tireless work ethic and commendable attention to detail. Betty retired to the gulf coast of Florida in 1997. She enjoyed boating, and spending time at the beach. Betty was an avid Bocce player. She enjoyed playing cards, Mah Jongg, bingo, and socializing with her friends and family. Most recently she was an active member of the Chichester Senior Group. Betty filled her days with activities to keep busy. She had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest.While in Florida and Pa, Betty volunteered her time. In Florida she was a volunteer at her Church. Being helpful to others was very important to Betty. In Pa, she often assisted her friends by driving them to their doctor appointments.Betty left a legacy and a void that will be difficult to fill.
