Campbell1957~2020Carol B., age 63, of Chester, PA, passed away on August 13, 2020Survived by her beloved husband of 36 yrs. Melvin; her cherished children, Jason Picus, Melvin Campbell, Jr., Christopher Campbell and Albert (Ivy Estrada) Campbell; her adoring grandchildren, Avalynn Campbell and Albert Campbell, Jr.; her beautiful sister Darlene Lindley (Jim). Also survived by many wonderful lifelong girlfriends, Maria, Mary, Sue, Sherry, Kathy Donna and the late Anna. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Helen (nee Doyle) Picus.-Carol was many things, to many people. She was a lifelong resident of the City of Chester, Daughter, Sister, Best Friend, Wife of 36 years, member of Saint Katherine Drexel Parish, Mother of 4 boys, and Grandmother to a beautiful girl and boy. She was a class of 1975 Notre Dame High School graduate and attended Delaware County Community College. Her sons would often call her, “Miss Crozer” since she has worked hard for Crozer Hospital for 47 years and was looking to make it to 50yrs. She was also the runner-up to be a Gerber Baby.Carol was like a saint to her family; she was the most humble, selfless, caring, and strongest person one could meet. Whom always put others before herself. She cared so much for others that often she would forget about herself. Carol wasn’t interested in sports. Although, you would always find her at all 4 sons sporting events. She would be in the bleachers cheering her sons on, reading a book, volunteering at the concession stands, or getting some sun eating watermelon with her other sons. She was a mother that was always there for here family.Her time working at Crozer Hospital, started at in the “Coffee Shop” and was currently working as a Unit Clerk on 3RD South. Carol loved many thing and people. She enjoyed watching cooking shows, reality shows, and YouTube. She loved reading novels, the Bible, and her prayer cards. She loved watching Harry Potter movies, Grease, and Horror films. She loved her Chester Girls, her lifelong friends Maria, Mary, Sue, Sherry, Kathy, Donna, and the late Anna. The thing she loved the most was her family. Though she lived a distance apart, there was not a day that she did not think of her sister Darlene. Carol never had a daughter, but she always felt that she did with her future daughter in-law Ivy. Her four Horsemen, her sons Jason, Melvin Jr, Chris, Albert could never do wrong and she was always there for them. To her husband, she was the rock that kept him grounded and the family balanced. Her grandchildren, Avalynn and Albert Jr meant the world to her. The connection between Avalynn and Carol was special and unique. Carol lived her life, she also lived with a purpose. That purpose being her family, and friends.
