He leaves a legacy of love and integrity with his family and friends. He has left behind wonderful memories of a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather. We are grateful for each and every day we were graced with his beautiful, perfect smile and for his insight and keen advice. He didn’t say much, but each word was craftily chosen and meaningful. Charles was very proud of his service and loyal to his country. He is a Villanova graduate, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1965. His strong work ethic is a value he instilled in all of his children. In fact, Charles worked full time at UTCRAS until his recent hospitalization.Charles was a man of faith and lived to serve others. If he could do something kind for another, he would. Charles took great pleasure in the charitable work of UNICO. where he recently served as president to its local chapter. He was a gourmet chef, and his meals were yet another gift to his friends and family.Charles was the best dad ever. He was committed to his family and making sure that he supported his children to achieve their highest potential. He was a devoted and patient father, who sacrificed everything for his children’s interests even when the interest involved racing pigeons. He was a tireless leader and coach to his children’s clubs and sports. Charles made the world an adventure, which included traveling, fishing trips, professional sporting events, driving lessons, pinochle games, movies, dinners, and of course, Charles was always up for another trip to Dairy Queen. He was a very proud grandfather and great-grandfather as well. Charles fell in love with Catherine, who remained his bride for 58 years. His last thoughts and words were of her and ensuring her good care. Theirs was a love story. Catherine was simply and completely the love of his life.
