Chris Steven Romolini
August 8, 1962 – October 10, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Chris Steven Romolini, of Southwest Philadelphia, on October 10, 2025, at the age of 63.
Born in Darby, Pennsylvania, Chris grew up in Southwest Philadelphia and attended West Catholic High School for Boys. In his younger years, he worked at the Spectrum in South Philadelphia, where he enjoyed countless concerts and the unique experience of being backstage. He later went on to have a long career as a marine service worker at Hueber’s Launch, retiring after more than 15 years of dedicated service.
Chris had a deep love for life’s simple pleasures — cheering on Philadelphia sports teams, listening to music, and spending quiet days fishing. He also had a lifelong love for the ocean and cherished his time spent “down the shore.” Above all, he loved his family and adored his daughter and grandchildren, who brought him so much joy.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Eckel (Buddy); his beloved grandchildren, Chloe and CJ; his mother, Kathleen Romolini; and his sisters, Carol Simmins and Sandra Cipolloni (James). He was preceded in death by his father, Emilio Romolini, and his brother, William Romolini.
Chris will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
