Crisante “Chris” Taraborrelli of Broomall, formerly of Overbrook, son of Maria Santa Garzarella and Nicola Taraborrelli from Guardiagrele, Italy passed away on February 2, 2023 at the age of 92.
Crisante is survived by his loving children Maria (Chris) Ricciuti, Nicoletta (James V.) Ruffo and Ada (Jerry) Gauvreau, grandchildren Christopher, Nicholas, Vincent, Vanessa and Jerry. Also, his sisters Isabella and Licia and 12 nieces and nephews.
Crisante was predeceased by his beloved wife Adagisa and sisters Angela, Leontina, Domenichela and Carmela.
Crisante’s dedication to his family and friends were, without a doubt, predicated on the hardships he experienced as a child under the German occupation of Italy during WWII.
Crisante was always proud of his ability to outwork any man while enduring the harshest of environments across four continents. Crisante’s work efforts eventually landed him in America where he became a Union Carpenter and raised his three daughters.
Crisante enjoyed gardening, the casino, travel and dance. He also continued the art of making wine, cheese and cured meats. Crisante took great joy in having dinner parties for his friends and family, where he delightedly starred as the chef.
Crisante’s family would like to thank the Broomall Police Department, Township Management personnel and local pharmacy for their patience and understanding when confronted with his barrage of complaints, such was his nature 🙂
At the end of the day, hard work, a deep sympathy for the less fortunate, and a good heart best summarize his legacy.
Funeral Services will be private. Interment Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
Contributions in Crisante’s memory can be made to N.A.M.I. or Macular Degeneration Foundation (EyeSight.org).
