Daniel McGeehan

Daniel McGeehan, 65, of Essington, died Friday, July 28th, 2023 at Pennsylvania Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Daniel grew up in Tinicum Township and lived there for the remainder of his life. He was a loved member of Tinicum Township Swim Club and was on the swim team and dive team in his younger years. Also, as a child, Daniel played football and baseball. He loved being a Philadelphia sports fan and would take his kids to the games. Daniel also had a love for music and enjoyed going to see his favorite bands perform live. He was a proud father and pop-pop of his three kids and three grandchildren. Daniel was a funny, loud, infectious soul who always filled the room with laughter.

Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Carol McGeehan (Sikora)who died in 2018 and his son, Leon McGeehan who died in February of this year. He was also the son of the late James and Marcella Montgomery McGeehan and the brother of the late James and Jeffrey McGeehan.

He is survived by his daughters, Gabrielle Hayner (McGeehan) and her husband, Dillon, and Melissa Vincent (McGeehan) and her husband, Kyle. His grandchildren, Landon, Lyla, and Miles Hayner; brother, Patrick McGeehan and his sister Suzette Roth.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service 11 AM on Thursday, August 10th at Danjolell-Stigale Memorial Home, 3260 Concord Road, Aston, PA, where friends may visit from 10-11 AM. Interment will be private.
