I was so sad to hear that Darlane passed away. The service was beautiful. The world is a little less bright without her. We grew up together in Southwest Philadelphia, we worked together at Budget and Taylor. She was one of my oldest friends and even if we did not see each other often in the last decade, I loved her dearly.

Our daughter Phoebe said it best: Aunt Darla gave me a book, Rainbow Fish”, when I was born. Our son Angus came home from school Tuesday and excited showed me a picture he drew of the book his Daddy reads them “Rainbow Fish” On Wednesday Phoebe sent us a picture of a beautiful double rainbow she saw that day in MD, and said Aunt Darla told her when she was a little girl that “Somewhere over the Rainbow” was her favorite song.
