DOMINIC JOSEPH D’AMBRO, SR
February 28, 1941 – February 17, 2023
Dominic Joseph D’Ambro was born on February 28, 1941 in Drexel Hill, PA to parents Lydia B. Squillace D’Ambro, born in 1908 in Philadelphia, and father, Joseph D’Ambro, born in 1896 in Acireale, Sicily, coming to Philadelphia in 1907 and worked in management in the apparel and tailoring industry for 45 years.
Dominic attended St. Phenomena’s elementary school then onto Bonner High School.
He owned and operated the newtown square deli from 1963-1970.
He then owned and operated the Kingsway Inn in Paoli PA, a wedding and banquet hall from 1970-1978.
He started Le-Jo Enterprises, thereafter, where he manufactured and distributed restaurant equipment, until this day.
Predeceased by his parents, Lydia Squillace and Joseph D’Ambro. Siblings, Enrico, Gino, Cirano, and Rosalie Kelly.
He married Gail Pastore on May 8, 1965 at St. Anastasia’s in Broomall PA.
Survived by his wife, Gail (nee Pastore), and his children, Denine Constable (Bruce), Joseph D’Ambro, Lauren Tangi (Robert), Dominic D’Ambro, Jr. (Deirdre), and Christopher D’Ambro (Marina Oliveira). Also, his grandchildren, Camryn, Catherine, Madison, Robert, Stella, and Nicholas. Along with his siblings, Tia Moffitt, and Lydia D’Ambro, and sister in law Joanne D’Ambro
Relatives & friends are invited to his Visitation Thursday, February 23 10:00 AM – 11:45 AM followed by his Funeral Mass 12:00 NOON ALL IN CHURCH at Saints Phillip and James Church 107 N. Ship Rd.
