AGATONE

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dominick Agatone, 85, of Broomall, PA, on March 8, 2025. Dominick was predeceased by his adored granddaughter, Sophia, his parents, Yolanda (nee Candeloro) and Dominick Agatone, and his brother, Richard.

Dominick’s life was a testament to love and dedication, most notably to his beloved wife of 64 years, Joan V. (nee Fleming). His legacy lives on through his three sons, Dominick Michael (Linda), Kevin (Judy), and Kenneth (Paula), and his six cherished grandchildren: Matthew, Ashley, Alaina, Olivia, Douglas, and Emma. He was a proud and loving grandfather, and his memory will be forever treasured.

Born and raised in Overbrook, West Philadelphia, Dominick’s journey began at St. Donato’s and St. Thomas Moore. He honorably served his country in the Air Force, rising to the rank of Sergeant First Class, before embarking on a distinguished 39-year career at WPVI.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a viewing on Thursday, from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM ALL IN CHURCH at Saint Anastasia Roman Catholic Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Interment will be at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.

My father worked at tv6 and then I worked there I knew Dominic for most of my life he was funny made you smile even when he was giving you grief always a pleasure I will remember him always my family’s thoughts and prayers are with his family . John caracciolo.

I loved working with Dom! He exuded positivity, so it was always a pleasure to have him on the team, even through the inevitable kinks of working in live TV. Sending love and condolences to the entire family.

Dominic was such a wonderful man. When I started my career, I was quite nervous. But his warm laughter and quiet encouragement really made a difference for me. I use to drive with him to our shoots and he wasn’t thrilled about me in his truck at first! But we became fast friends and I’ll never forget him.

I'm deeply sorry for the loss of Dominick Agatone. I valued our conversations and the times I spent getting to know him. I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences. “There are special people in our lives who never leave us, even after they are gone. We do not remember days, we remember moments. I'm so sad to read of Dom's passing. I work with Dom at WPVI for a good 27 years. He was lucky to retired before by a couple of years. We had the best working relationship one could ever have.
