Doris A., (nee Freed) age 92, passed away peacefully at home on September 29, 2025, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA.

Doris deeply loved her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She cherished traveling with her husband and family, was a talented bowler who won many prizes and even appeared on television. She dedicated many years working in the meat room at ShopRite and had a lifelong love of animals.

Predeceased by her husband Jacob S. Young III, her son, Jacob S. Young IV, her parents, Pauline E. (nee Niedrist) and Irwin Freed, and her sisters, Pauline “Polly” Ferris and Gladys “Dolly” Myers.

Survived by her children, Debra A. Perna (Albert J., Jr.), George E. Young (Nancie), and her daughter-in-law, Linda Young, her seven grandchildren, Emily (Kevin), Gregory (Danielle), Eric (Natalie), Jacob (Shannon), Kathryn (Brandon), Christina (Justin), and Olivia (Isaiah), her 13 great-grandchildren.

Relatives & friends are invited to her Viewing Friday, October 3^rd 11:00 AM – 11:45 AM followed by her Funeral Service 12 NOON in the Main Chapel at the DAnjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008.  Interment Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
