Betty had the sweetest smile and one of the kindest heart and soul you will ever meet, always finding a positive in the face of adversity… a true gift to all who knew her. A lifelong resident of Chester County and long time member of Radnor Hunt Club she regularly joined the ‘hunt’ on horseback across the bucolic fields and streams in the area and ironically favored the local foxes who she adored as they were well fed in her backyard. Betty and Joe joined a group of friends in breeding and racing thoroughbreds in the mid-atlantic area and were regulars at the track. She relished in role of adopting clever names for the foals which somehow tied in into their parents or appearance. She also had a keen eye for art and collectibles. She clearly adored her family and treasured the special qualities they each possessed relishing in the joy they provided her over the years. Always open to host, whether at home or at the Radnor Races, being surrounded by her friends brought her great joy in life and she was able to hold on to her ‘core group’ until the end.
