Emily Hammers

Hammers Emily (nee Black) age 89 on June 4, 2012 of Aston. Emily was a graduate of Wilkes Barre High School. She was employed by the former Bell telephone Co. where she was a pioneer in the transition to computers. She was also involved with the Meals on wheels program as well as Aston Seniors. A loving and caring person who gave supported many charities. Wife of the late Robert W. “Bob”. Sister of the late Jean, Walter, Sam and Loren Survivors: her many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Sat. 9-9:45 am at the Danjolell – Stigale Memorial Home 3260 concord Rd. Aston. Funeral service 10 am in our main chapel. Interment Maple Hill Cemetery in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Donations: in lieu of flowers donations in Emily’s name can be made to the charity of your choice.
