Florence Jatres

Florence Jatres, nee Mamsch, surrounded by her family, went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2008. She was 88 years old.

Florence was born on August 22, 1920 to Harry and Agnes, in Chicago, IL. She married Philip Jatres on February 7th, 1942 and had 5 beautiful children. They raised their family in Chicago and moved to Broomall, PA in 1957, where Florence was active in St. Anastasia’s Church choir for over 45 years. Her greatest joy was her family. This included being with her 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom lovingly referred to her as “Gummy”.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip, after 43 years together in 1985 and her daughter, Florence in 1983. She is survived by her son, Philip; daughter, Mary Stocklos and her husband, Michael; daughter, Connie Daly and her husband, Thom and son, Ray and his wife, Carol. She will be deeply
missed by all whose lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Florence’s memory to the Macular Degeneration Foundation, eyesight.org, P.O. Box 531313 Henderson, NV 89053.
