Gertrude (Trudy)McDougall, 90, of Collingdale, died Thursday, Sept. 26, at home surrounded by loved ones. Trudy was a graduate of West Catholic for Girls and studied accounting at Immaculata College. She spent the majority of her employment being the comptroller for Larry’s Home of the Bellyfiller. She had retired from H. Freeman & Sons.
Trudy enjoyed the beaches of the Wildwoods, decorating for the holidays, gardening, cooking, baking, reading, Word Search and the television series “Blue Bloods.” She also loved being a mom and nana and was known for passionately protecting the ones she loved. She was a trustworthy confidante to all who knew her.
Born to Lawrence and Margaret Morroney of Philadelphia, Trudy was the sister of the late Michael Morroney (Roseanne) and Michele Morroney (Fred Scalfidi). She is survived by her children Trudy Carter, Linda McDougall (Alan Daddona) and Donna McDougall Close as well as by her granddaughter April Kessler (Jeff) two grandsons and her seven great grandchildren Carter, Ellie,Blake, Patrick, Connor, Evelyn,Nicholas and many nieces, nephews and friends.
