Always in out hearts, we will miss Harris dearly.
Dear Pepper- Honoring & remembering a Beautiful man. May your wonderful memories of a life well lived be a comfort to you. Our love & thoughts to you.
In memory of Harris Herman, the best of men.
I met Harris when I started to date his brother in law Wayne. Harris was one of the kindest , and talented men I was privileged to know.
I loved my brother-in-law so much. But as 17 years separated us, I always looked up to Harris. He was the stereotypical “tall, dark, and handsome”, which is why I called him “The Man”. He was a “cool cat” as I watched him play jazz and classical numbers on the piano. Soon thereafter, Harris and Pepper married right in our home in 1955. Through the years, I visited them many times. After delicious meals, Harris and I would watch the Phillies on TV, more recently, continuing from opposite coasts. I will miss our phone chats after a big Phils win. Harris lived a long, happy, and prosperous life. And, boy, did he deserve it!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Miss you
Howie. And Paige
I dearly miss my sweet father he put up a very strong fight to get to 94 years old I had the best father in the world ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Harris was a gem, a true Renaissance Man, always interesting to talk with whether it was sports, music, bridge, politics or history. I had a locker next to Harris' at Rolling Green for several years. He always addressed me as "young man." I will miss that but will him more. Rest in peace.
Our story begins at age 6 Pepper. Harris appeared in our teenage years and then you and Harris married in your early 20's. We have a history of so many wonderful memories. I love you both and being your husband, he was also my friend. He was a special man in so many ways. I want you to know I am here for you, Randi and Valerie-I love your kids. Harris will always be missed.... Helene
He was gracious and graceful, smart and wise—and very kind. We are all lucky to have had him in our lives.
With gratitude from my aching heart, I cannot begin to tell you how touched I am by all of your expressions of affection for my beloved Harris for almost 70 years.
How lucky we were to have you all in our lives.
With pain and sorrow,Pepper
Dear Pepper and Family ... so sorry to learn of Harris's passing. We remember you both from his participation in the online Classical Music Guide, to which Harris contributed greatly - and of course, meeting you both at a CMG meetup in NYC. Our thoughts are with you and the family. RIP Harris.
Receive our most deepest and heartfelt condolences Valerie and family. Sending love.
What a wonderful, good-hearted man. My love goes to Pepper my dearest friend & fellow opera lover.
Next time we are in Anguilla we will raise a glass of rum punch to our Island friend.
He will be greatly missed.
Steve and Gina Gucciardi
I am truly sad for the part of life’s journey you are stepping into. It is soul crushing, especially to lose such a dynamic and well loved spouse who touched so many people’s hearts & lives.
I wish you grace and hope your community of friends stand with you at this hardest of times.
I am sorry to hear this sad news, Blessings Pepper to you and your family.
Without Harris and you Steve and I would not have grown to know and love opera. We knew about operas , but you both were tuned in to the greatest stars and best programs. We never said no when you asked us to go to the Met or to the live HD programs in King of Prussia. We even followed you to Santa Fe to see two operas.
We loved having dinner with you followed by our bridge games whether at you house or at the Club on Wednesday nights.
He was a gentleman in every single way and devoted to you, Pep. May his memory be for a blessing.
For over 60 years we have shared a very special friendship.... So many memories...singing while you played piano for me..playing so many fun games in the living room that you and Pepper shared for so many years. you being there to share my happiness at my wedding with David, so many life long events. You were so much a part of my life even though we lived miles apart in later years. Pepper without Harris is like Pepper without salt. My world will be a bit emptier without you...but you will never be gone from my heart.

Dearest Pepper You know Harris was such a good friend of ours as you are! He was a very unique and special man and we both loved him! He made me so happy every time he played the piano and I looked forward to those special concerts every time we were together! Everything that everyone has written about him I can repeat. He was the special friend we knew we had! There was just one Harris and he brightened our lives! He was so in love with you and loved hearing you telling your jokes to us. He was so proud of you!
