Harry C. Rosenberg

Harry C Rosenberg, born December 15,1939, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away
surrounded by the love of his family. He was a graduate of Germantown Academy and
University of Virginia. After college he proudly served in United State Army Military
Intelligence and Security Command. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather,
great-grandfather, business owner, sailor, golfer, equestrian and most importantly a friend
whose warm personality, wonderful smile, and unbridled zest for life touched everyone
who had the fortune of knowing him.

Harry is survived by his wife Debbie, his previous wife Priscilla Stein, and his four sons
Chad (Jen), Matt (Kiki), Jack (Alexis), and Harry (Sophie). He was immensely proud of his
family and cherished his nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A lifelong sailor, Harry found joy and freedom on the water. He was even a Past
Commodore of the Union League Yacht Club. His sailing adventures took him along the
Jersey Shore, the Chesapeake Bay, the British Virgin Islands, and the coast of Maine. It
was during his sailing in Maine that he fell in love with Boothbay Harbor and purchased a
home there and became a member of the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club. For the last 34
years, Maine became a treasured summer home and community for Harry, Debbie and
their family – a place filled with boats, beautiful days on the water, and countless
memories shared across four generations.

Harry also devoted 60 years to the family business, Rosenberg & Parker, carrying on a
tradition of hard work, commitment, and family, unwaveringly upholding a standard of
integrity set by his Father Charlie. He was an active member of the National Association of
Surety Bond Producers where he served as a Regional VP. His professional life was an
important part of who he was, but those that knew him best will remember that he always
made time for not just the people and activities he loved, but anyone who sought his
counsel and guidance.

Late in life, Harry took up golf and quickly embraced not only the game but, perhaps even
more, the camaraderie that came with it. He was a member of Waynesborough CC,
Saucon Valley CC, Royal Poinciana GC, and Boothbay Harbor CC. He joined the Union
League of Philadelphia in 1980 as only the 3rd Jewish member of the club. He ascended to
the Admissions Committee, Board of Directors and Vice Presidency. The Kindergarten
Club of the Union League was also imporatnt to him where he served a term as President.
Harry’s greatest gift was the warmth and light he brought to every gathering. His easy
smile, genuine kindness, sense of friendship, and love of being surrounded by family and
friends made him someone people were always happy to see. Whether on a sailboat, a
golf course, or simply gathered around the table with those he loved, Harry had a way of
making people feel welcome, valued, and seen.

He leaves behind a remarkable family, a lifetime of friendships, and memories that will be treasured for generations. His smile, warm personality, and generous spirit will be deeply
missed by all who had the privilege of being in his company.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Harry’s memory to The Union League Founding Forward or The Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, September 11th ; 10:00 a.m. followed by his Funeral Service 12:00 noon. ALL IN CHURCH at St. David’s Episcopal Church of Wayne,703 S. Valley Forge Rd., Wayne, PA 19087. Internment St. David’s Cemetery.
