She is the daughter of Jayne E. Ashenfelter, Bend, OR, and Richard B. Ashenfelter, Jr., Malvern, PA., sister of Ricky Ashenfelter, Boston, MA, and sister-in-law to Gena Jiang. Holli leaves behind her beloved dog, Bella, and Bella’s best friend, Grizzy. Holli graduated from Great Valley High School in 2007 and attended Delaware County Community College and Central Oregon Community College. She was eager to pursue a career in welding, and her friends and family were all so proud of her ambitions in that field. Holli was a talented athlete and excelled at every sport and activity in which she engaged. She loved the outdoors – walking the trails along Pickering Creek, French Creek and within the Bryn Coen Preserve, and on the beaches of Long Beach Island with Bella and Grizzy. Holli was always excited to travel to state and national parks, as well as with her family in Europe, Mexico, and the Caribbean. This past year, she enjoyed quality time with her mother in Oregon – exploring the mountains and coast and going on hiking, kayaking, and mountain-biking adventures. But Holli was an East Coast gal through and through, and Malvern was always home. She loved the Eagles, especially when they won the Super Bowl, and was rarely seen wearing colors other than midnight green. But most importantly, Holli loved the simple things in life. Nothing was more important to her than maintaining countless friendships over the years. She commanded the room with her smiles, warmth, and enthusiasm and made friends with just about everyone she met. If you were a friend to Holli at any time in her life, chances are that you were still one of her friends today. Holli’s family will host a viewing at the D’Anjolell Memorial Homes (392 Lancaster Ave, Frazer, PA) on Thursday, March 10 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held the next day at the Covenant Presbyterian Church (400 Lancaster Ave, Frazer, PA) on Friday, March 11. The viewing at the church will be from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. followed by a service at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Pastor Jim Moyer. Holli will be laid to rest next to her paternal grandparents at Resthaven Memorial Gardens (9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick, MD) on Sunday, March 13 at 3:00 p.m., with a graveside ceremony officiated by Pastor Paul Mundey. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be directed to the Bridges to Recovery Foundation or a charity of your choice.www.danjolell.com
