Hongzhuang Peng, 63, peacefully passed away with loved ones by her side on September 29, 2024.
Born on May 14, 1961 in Guangzhou, China, she lived a joyful, adventurous life across multiple continents. She graduated from Zhongshan University at age 20, when others would be starting or pursuing their degrees. After arriving in Philadelphia in 1991, she earned her PhD at Temple University and spent over 25 years in scientific research at the Wistar Institute and the University of Pennsylvania.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, she was passionate about photography, gardening, traveling, cooking, winning arguments, and posting on WeChat.
Most of all, she loved her family. She was a caring, yet sometimes bewildering, wife of 36 years to Yugong Ho. A mother who did her best for Jenny and Alice Ho. The voice of reason for Hongbin Peng Henriksson and Yongdong Peng as their older sister. A supportive sister-in-law to Gunnar Henriksson and Feng Ye, and the funny aunt to several nieces and nephews. Her presence, both in person and on WeChat, will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Relatives and Friends are invited to her Viewing, Thursday, October 3rd 12 NOON – 12:45 PM followed by her Funeral Ceremony 1:00 PM at the DAnjolell-Barone Memorial Home 908 S. Providence Rd., Wallingford, PA 19086. Inurnment Private.
