Howard T. Hamilton

HamiltonHoward T. Hamilton, age 98, resident of Aston Township passed away peacefully on Jan. 8, 2018.Born in Chester and grew up in Parkside. Graduate of Chester High School, class of 1937. Served his apprenticeship as a machinist, at the old Sun Shipbuilding and Dry Dock, Company. He was a World War Two Navy Veteran. After the war, he worked at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. During his career, Howard attended several Government sponsored schools. He retired in December of 1980, after 40 years of combined active naval service and civilian naval service. Working as a Machinist, later as an inspector of ships mechanical systems and the last 15 years as a ships scheduler. He was an avid Phillies fan. He was predeceased by his wife, Sara Ellen Hamilton, his son Daniel E. Hamilton. Survivors: Devoted father of George T. Hamilton and Barbara Rowe. Also survived by his 3 grandchildren and his great grandson. Funeral and Service will be private.The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice of Phila. and visiting Angels of Chadds Ford for all their loving care for Howard.
