GARDNER Irene E. age 66 of Brookhaven suddenly but peacefully on Nov. 24, 2012. Irene worked at Riddle Hospital for 40 years until her retirement. She was an avid bowler in her earlier years. She loved spending time with her family and friends especially her good friend Esther. She was a member of the Middletown Presbyterian church for many years. She will be sadly missed by her family, many friends and her furry companion Bailey. Daughter of the late Jack and Irene Gardner. Survivors: Sister of Dave, Jack Gardner, Carol ( Rich) Gleason, Gloria ( David) Tori, Joan ( Chris) Hassett, her aunt Jane Bateman and many nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces , nephews. Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thurs eve 7-9pm and to her funeral Fri. 9 am at the Danjolell- Stigale Memorial Home 3260 Concord Rd. Aston Funeral Service: Fri. 10:30 am in our Main Chapel Internment: Cumberland Cemetery. Donations: In lieu of flowers donations in Irene’s name can be made to the Middletown Presbyterian Church 273 S. Old Middletown Rd. Media, Pa. 19063

I remember when i was young,hanging out with my cousins, it was such a treat to go over to their house and spend the night having fun. uncle jack and aunt irene were the best! im glad i was able to go to lunch with irene and aunt jane a couple years ago to their favorite spot. i really wanted to do it again but time goes by to fast.thankyou for thinking of us irene through all the holidays and birthdays, we always knew we would get a card from you no matter what! im just sorry i missed the ones that i did getting them to you, for all the ones i missed , have a Happy Birthday, Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and a Happy Easter. i have all the cards you have sent us over the years and will really miss looking forward to getting them.
