James Joseph Catteau, 78, passed away on March 22, 2023, at his home in North Coventry Township, PA. He was the husband of the late Joan Stille (Longwell) Catteau with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.
Born in Cleveland, OH, on April 9, 1944, Jim was the son of the late Richard and Coletta (Denk) Catteau.
Jim graduated from Fredericktown High School in 1962 and received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Ohio State University in 1968. Jim was an enterprise software designer and developer throughout his professional career. In his spare time, Jim’s many hobbies included bicycling, jogging, golfing, playing the trumpet, gardening, reading, puzzling, airplane modeling, boat modeling, train modeling, travelling, and camping. Most importantly, Jim was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed.
Jim is lovingly remembered by his children, James (& Veronica) Catteau, Jennifer (& Ron) Oelschlager, Jeffrey (& Dawn) Catteau; his grandchildren, Kristopher Catteau, Marissa Catteau, Veronica (& Dalton) Anthony, Connor Oelschlager, Ella Catteau, Natalie Catteau, Riley Oelschlager, Ava Catteau; his great-grandchildren, Vaiva Anthony and Vivian Anthony; and brothers, Richard (& Dale) Catteau, Jay (& Vickie) Catteau, and Wes (& Iryna) Catteau; and many nieces and nephews.
