Jeanne C. Smirga

Jeanne C. Smirga nee Magee, age 67, of Berwyn, PA, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008 after a brave fight against thyroid cancer.

Jeanne will be greatly missed by her devoted husband, John Smirga; daughters, Kathleen Holemans, Susan Magee Kephart and Clare Daniels; sons-in-law, Jack Daniels and David Kephart; step-daughter, Donna Rook; step-sons, John and Christopher Smirga; 10 grandchildren; 9 brothers and sisters and her mother,
Regina Thomas of Drexel Hill.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Edwin L. Magee and her father, Walter S. Thomas

Jeanne lived with her first husband in Westfield, NJ for many years before returning to the Philadelphia area in 1987.

Jeanne was a beautiful woman, inside and out. She always had a smile and plan of action for her day. She had a special love for baking and cooking and for creating wonderul holiday celebrations. She was a talented, intelligent, do-it-yourself woman who, over the years, hung wallpaper, made curtains, fixed electrical sockets, tiled bathrooms, read more books than can be counted and went back to college to study accounting. She graduated from Rutgers University in
1981.

The family welcomes friends to celebrate Jeanne’s life.
