Knightly
In loving memory of John J Knightly, on September 24, 2022, age 81, of Millville, DE.
John was born in Delaware County and was the son of the late George and Mae (nee Tobin). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Therese ‘Missy’, and brothers William (Marie), Don, and George (Marge).
He is survived by his beloved spouse Barbara G. (nee Cavarocchi), daughter Lisa Feliziani (Michael), son John Knightly (Christine) and sister Ann Wilson (Bill). Also his 5 grandchildren John Jr, Katlin, Gabby, Sophia, Mia and fur baby Shyla. And numerous nieces and nephews.
John was a loving husband, father and Pop Pop who will be missed greatly. He was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. He also loved crabbing, clamming and fishing but was still waiting for the “big one”. While living in Roanoke, Va he stood for Pro-life. He prayed every Tuesday at the clinic until his illness prevented him from continuing. He was a Third degree member in the Knights of Columbus and was also the treasurer of the Railroad Retirement Organization for 14 years. He retired from the railroad in 2002 and John and Barbara retired to Millville, De in 2015.
Relatives & friends are invited to his viewing at St. Charles Borromeo Church Friday, September 30th, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. Funeral Mass immediately following the viewing in church. Located at 3422 Dennison Ave, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Interment S.S. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Hospital and/or C.H.O.P.
