John F Smith III left a message on January 28, 2014:
Dear Gail, Karen and Kathy, I was very sorry to get the news of your Dad's passing. My condolences to all of you and your family's. I have a lot of very fond memories of our families being together. Many memories of our Dad's down at the West End Boat Club or down on the Chesapeake Bay. It's seems as though a generation has now passed. Over the years our lives have moved in different directions and except for the last time I visited your Dad and Gail have not seen much of anyone from the old Green Ridge days. Maybe our paths will cross soon. Your Dad is now resting in peace along with your Mom, and hopefully are parents are together once again. With my sincerest Sympathies, John F. Smith, III

To the Family of John R. Hopkins, may you take comfort in these founds in God's word, The Bible. Found at Rev. 21:4 it reads..."And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." What a wonderful promise, Jehovah God has made to us all.
