Lawrence F. Graves III
March 21, 1959 – February 11, 2025
Lawrence “Larry” Graves III, 65, passed away on February 11, 2025. Larry was born at Bryn Mawr Hospital on March 21st, 1959, to Joan Daley Graves and the late Lawrence F. Graves Jr. and was the oldest of five children.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Joan Daley Graves; his brothers, William “Billy”, Terrence “Terry”, and Kenneth “Kenny” (Kristin); and his sister, Leslie Graves Ryan (Jim).
A lifelong resident of Wayne, PA, Larry graduated from Radnor High School. His passion for music led him to become the lead singer of the band, Open Road, which performed at many local establishments, including the renowned Main Point in Bryn Mawr. He was one of the original marketing managers for the start-up, Invisible Fence Company founded in Wayne Pa. His love for music extended beyond performance—he shared his talent and knowledge as a music instructor at The Music Center in Ardmore, Pa. for young adults and children.
Most importantly, Larry is survived by his loving children Kelly Anne (Ed Bransfield), Lawrence F. Graves IV and Ryan McKenzie Graves. He will be missed by his beautiful grandchildren, Annie, Quinn, Brie, Eddie, Gavin and Oscar. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who he loved so much and was loved by them.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, February 28th, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am at Danjolell Funeral Home, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008.

Larry’s presence will be dearly missed, but his music, laughter, and love will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
