Hansen1940~2021Reverend Lawrence H. Hansen, age 80, of Media PA, passed away on June 15, 2021Fr. Hansen was born in St. Paul Minnesota and was educated at the St. Paul Seminary in New Ulm Minnesota. Father worked for the Diocese of New Ulm, MN as a prison Chaplin before moving to Philadelphia. Father was a staple at the 4 O’clock Sunday Mass at Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Darby, PA for 28 years. He also provided spiritual guidance for families and patients at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in Darby and St. Mary’s Hospital in Langhorne. He enjoyed watching movies, playing bridge, and traveling. Predeceased by his beloved parents Lester and Evelyn (nee King) Hansen; his cherished sisters Joan Blanchard and Karen Hood; also, his dear nephews Tom and Jeff Roth.Survived by his brother Robert (Susan)Hansen.Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Monday, June 28, 2021 10:00AM-11:00AM with Funeral Mass to follow 11:00 AM (ALL IN CHURCH)Blessed Virgin Mary Church 1101 Main Street, Darby, PA 19023.
