Leroy “Roy” H. Reardon

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Leroy H. Reardon, 79, a devoted father, beloved grandfather, and cherished friend, on June 11, 2025. Born and raised in Philadelphia he graduated from Bartram High School in 1965 before proudly serving his country in The United States Army. After concluding his military service, he entered marriage to his beloved wife, Marita and began his career at Western Termite and Pest Control which lasted over 35 years.

Roy was an easy-going man with compassion and a generous heart that always had time to lend a hand for friends and family in need. Whether it was fixing something, listening, and providing advice to people he loved, Roy had a big heart and touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he didn’t boast many traditional hobbies, he found true joy when it came to electrical work, watching his favorite series and sports and staying ahead of the curve with the latest technological advancements which led him to being everyone’s personal tech support. Throughout his life, Roy enjoyed storytelling and spending time at home or at the beach with friends and family.

After his retirement, family meant everything to him as he had an unwavering love for them. He shared an especially close bond with his only daughter, Dawn, and was incredibly proud of his grandchildren, Alyssa and Nicholas. His eyes lit up when he spoke about them, and time spent with them was the highlight of his life. He had plans to live with his daughter Dawn and his grandchildren in a new home which would have brought him much joy and happiness. He will be remembered for his humor, easy laugh, and genuine love for everyone in his life. Roy will be missed, but his family and friends will always have a special place in their hearts for this wonderful man.

Predeceased by his loving wife, Marita (nee Tessarzik) Reardon, and his parents, Ida (nee Schwartz) and William Faust, and his siblings, William Faust, Estelle Crossley, and Jeanette Mancini.

Survived by his daughter, Dawn M. Giampaolo (Stephen), his two grandchildren, Alyssa and Nicholas, and his sister, Roberta Delaney
