July 24, 1941 – October 25, 2024
Lorraine “Rainy” Barbuto (nee DiMeglio) passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Friday, October 25, 2024, in Aston, PA.
Lorraine spent years working at Ro-Lynn’s Deli in Brookhaven, PA, before dedicating her time to raising her grandchildren. She loved cooking Italian Sunday dinners and making zeppole and Easter bread during the holidays. Her curious spirit led her to host evenings celebrating cultures and cuisines from around the world. An outstanding painter, she delighted in exploring nature and landscapes, always finding ways to capture life in her art. She often spent time planting flowers and tending her garden, finding contentment in the outdoors. Lorraine loved dancing, singing, and was always ready for a good party. In recent years, she enjoyed being in the yard with her great-grandchildren, watching them run and feeding the birds together.
She was a proud member of her local women’s club and the Lioness Club and enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends. Lorraine was her family’s biggest supporter in all their endeavors, celebrating their successes as if they were her own. She was a beautiful, kind, compassionate, and warm-hearted soul, lighting up any room with her smile and making everyone feel at home. Though she had a gentle and loving nature, Lorraine lived a life full of color and vibrancy, encouraging others to do the same.
