Maria Morello

Maria Morello (March 5, 1936 – January 28, 2017)Maria Morello (nee Giove) was born in Nusco, Italy on March 5, 1936. She came to the United States in 1955 on the historic Andrea Doria. She married Francesco Morello on January 2, 1960 at Our Lady of Loreto Church in Philadelphia, PA. Maria is the mother of six, Fran (Henl) Eggles, Theresa (Russell) Viggiano, Rosa (Joe) Milaro, Raffelina (John) Iannelli, Frank (Lori) Morello, Ralph Morello. She has been an adoring Mom Mom to her 12 grandchildren: Jordan, Johnny, Amanda, Nicky, Rachel, Dalton, Antonio, Jesse, Briana, Lorenzo, Cole, Anjolie Raelle and Great Grandmom to Nyla. Maria has instilled true sense of values in her family. She was the catalyst that kept family and friends together and was usually considered the life of the party. She gave of herself generously and selflessly. Her legacy to her family will forever be her persistence, strength and courage. When she was diagnosed with Lymphoma in late May, she immediately decided to go through with the chemotherapy treatments and did so with perseverance and positivity. She truly is an inspiration to the family.Although Maria beat cancer, complications led to aspiration pneumonia. Maria passed peacefully on Jan. 28, 2017.Relatives and Friends are invited to her Viewing and Funeral Tuesday 1/31/17 at 9:00-10:15 AM at St Barnabas Church, 6300 Buist Ave. Phila, PA 19142. Funeral Mass 10:30 AM. Interment private.
