Mariya Kontsymal

Mariya Kontsymal, a beloved soul who touched the lives of many, peacefully passed away at the age of 93 on June 3, 2023, in the comfort of her home.

Mariya was preceded in death by her loving husband, Peter Kontsymal. She was a devoted mother to Larisa (Petr) Gavlishin and Pavlo Kontsymal. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Yelena Anderson (Gavlishin), Olga Gavlishin, Mariya Gavlishin, Anna Starasvetski (Gavlishin), Oksana Rondar (Kontsymal), and Inna Kontsymal. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Danielle, Naomi, Eva, Karina, Adrian, Amir, and Samir.

From an early age, Mariya dedicated her life to Jesus Christ, passionately confessing Him as the Son of God. She instilled in her family the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus and recognizing Him as their Lord and Savior. Throughout her long and fulfilling life, Mariya served God faithfully and she firmly believed that she would meet Him in heaven after her earthly journey concluded.

Relatives & friends are invited to pay their respects at her viewing on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 10 am to 11 am at the D’Anjolell-Stigale Memorial Home located at 3260 Concord Rd, Aston. A funeral service will follow at 11 am in the Main Chapel. Mariya will be laid to rest at Lawn Croft Cemetery.
