DeSANTIS
Mary Anna, (nee Musser) age 90, on October 8, 2024, of Swarthmore, PA.
In her younger days, she was a den mother for her oldest son’s cub scout troop, taught her daughters to sew and make their own clothes, and supported her youngest son in his musical endeavors. She was a very good bowler, winning a number of trophies and serving as Treasurer of her bowling league. Mary had a number of careers, including as a broker for a real estate firm that she co-owned, and as a bookkeeper for a local law firm for many years, working until she was 80 years old.
Mainly, she loved to bring joy and laughter to those around her. She always wanted to be a star and created the persona of the Oldest Female Elvis Presley impersonator, performing at family parties with a huge dose of humor. She acted in a number of commercials as her Elvis persona, and also acted in several commercials that her grandson wrote, directed and filmed. She had a great wit and could bring anyone to hysterics with her funny anecdotes and sharp retorts. She loved music and dancing, and was often the life of the party. She also had a very generous nature, especially towards her family and charities for children in need.
Predeceased by her husband Ernest DeSantis, her parents, Stella (nee Mondschein) and John Musser, and her siblings, John Musser, and Stella DeSantis.
Survived by her children, Ernest Jr. (Isabella), Ronald (Brenda), Donna DeSantis, and Diane Paolo (Nick); her eight grandchildren, Lisa, Laura, David, Thomas, Julien, Jessica, Michael, and Veronica; her four great-grandchildren, James, Calvin, Lizzy and Sadie; and her sisters, Anna Hladchuk, Theresa Banson, and Irene Quirus.
