Sally Hopkinson left a message on July 3, 2007:

Sister Mary Edward was my 5th grade teacher as well as the principal of Gwynedd Mercy Academy grade school. She was a wonderful teacher. She was well loved by all her students as well as their parents. She will be missed.

Sister Mary Edward simply "walked on water" as far as we were concerned. She provided the most loving and nurturing childcare possible when she created Mercy Childcare. My son is a better person for having Sister in his life during his earliest and most formidable years and we will be be eternally grateful. God bless you Sister- I hope you know how much you were loved, Joyce and Tim Gavin
