Maureen Elizabeth Capizzi nee Kerrigan

Maureen Elizabeth Capizzi (nee Kerrigan), born October 17, 1951, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Maureen dedicated over 20 years of her life to Academy Park High School, where she made a lasting impact on her colleagues and students. She also gave generously of her time, volunteering for numerous nonprofit organizations, always driven by a deep desire to help others.

Above all else, Maureen treasured her family. She found immense joy in spending time with her 12 grandchildren, cheering them on at their sports games, and sharing laughter at swim clubs and beach outings. She loved the pool. She was a devoted mother of 4 children: Tina (John Peck), Katie (Fran Migliocco), and Stephen (Kati Gessler). She is reunited in heaven with her beloved son Tommy and granddaughter Angela. Her legacy of love and care extends to her grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Maureen was also known for her deep affection for her loyal dog, Gunner, who brought her constant companionship and comfort.

Maureen’s kind heart, vibrant spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and community will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and Friends and invited to Maureen’s Visitation, January 11^th 10:00 AM – 11:45 AM followed by her life celebration 12:00 NOON at DAnjolell-Barone Memorial Home of Wallingford 908 S. Providence Rd., Wallingford, PA 19086, where family and friends are invited to share in honoring her memory. Inurnment Private.
