Mel, I still can't believe that you're gone. I can see you, not so long ago, sitting across the table at Hymie's sharing a smoked fish platter with me. Our 40 years of friendship will always be cherished. Love always! Leigh

Mel was a lovely neighbor. He's a huge reason my wife and I moved into the area. We would see him almost every morning on our walks, and he was never anything but kind.

Mel was a good friend and colleague and he will be sorely missed. We worked together for many years and had a lot of laughs. He was a great father and friend and I'm so sad the good times won't continue. But, everytime I think of him I smile. I won't be able to attend his memorial, but I will be there in spirit. Rest in Peace, Mel

I knew Mel from The Broadcast Pioneers and with his professional experience, especially at WFIL, Famous 56, he was one BOSS guy who LOVED Top 40 Radio. Our paths probably crossed decades ago in the mid-60's when I was at his home in Oxford Circle, visiting his late brother Lou. A friend of mine and myself would hang with Lou as all three of us were working to get on the air in radio. I knew how the loss of his brother and then his wife and son had such an impact on him, and hopefully they are all now reunited. To his son, Ryan, and his family, I offer my sincerest condolences. May he rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers to Mel’s family during this difficult time. I know that he is with Joyce now and I hope he has eternal peace . Mel was a funny guy and I enjoyed our times together with the Conshy bunch and Broadcast Pioneers back in the day … I was so sad to hear that he was sick and just learned of his passing … just really tough to wrap my head around since he was so full of life . My condolences go out to his family and friends and may Mel’s memory be a blessing to all .. May he rest in peace .
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Mel was a good guy. I met him when a group of us met for dinner once a month at the Great American Pub in Conshohocken. Then we started the brunch on the first Sunday of the month at Andy’s diner.
