Mike passed away at home March 23, 2025 with his life partner Lee by his side.

Born 11/20/1948 Bryn Mawr, Pa , son of Michael James Dobra, WWII 3rd US Army Engineer veteran and Rita Bridget Gesomina Dobra (nee DeCecco) Bryn Mawr Hospital retiree, both deceased.

He is survived by his loving partner of 30 years, Ms. Lee A. Murray of West Chester, Pa.

He is predeceased by his DeCecco family, grandparents George & Eugenia (nee Pachioli) who immigrated from Scerni, Chieti, Italy. Mike was raised with his sister Carol Jean by his mother and her family in Broomall incl. Aunts Concetta, Elizabeth and Uncles Domenick, Paul and favorite cousin Danny.

Elementary school: St. Anastasia of Newtown Square, Pa

Graduated in 1966 from Cardinal O’Hara of Springfield, Pa. St. Denis Parish

Deans Award, Computer Educational Institute 1969.

Mike retired in 2014, after working as Information Technology Manager at Vishay Intertechnology, Malvern, Pa after 34 years of service. He developed the company’s first custom business operating system. Mike donated generously to all military groups, loved history, exercise, playing drums, macros and coding, self-taught.

He was a quiet but extremely logical, intelligent man who will be greatly missed.
