Nicola, “Nick”, passed away on May 2, 2023 at the age of 90. Nick was born in Italy and after working on farms at a very young age and serving years in the Army, he left Italy and found a home in South Philadelphia. He raised his two sons while working as a member of the Laborers Union. Nick then met Maria, and they created a loving life together in Overbrook and then Broomall. Nick was predeceased by his wife Maria (nee Tulli) and his sister, Lucy. He is survived by his sister in Italy, Maria, sons, Damian (Daniela) and Vincent, 3 Grandchildren, Damian Jr., Nicholas, and Giavanna, two of his nieces Rosamaria Messina and Ivana Pizzuto, and many loving nieces and nephews. He relished his roles as Pop, PopPop, and Uncle greatly. Nick enjoyed simple pleasures in life such as, spending hours in his garden, laying in the sun, making his own wine, church on Sunday mornings, a trip to Atlantic City with Maria, Sunday dinners, a drive into South Philly, and eating dessert before dinner. But most of all, family time was everything to him. Nick will be deeply missed but his family finds comfort knowing he has found his way home to “the guy upstairs”, Maria, and his predeceased loves ones.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Tuesday Evening, May 9th; 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday Morning, May 10th; 8:15 – 9:15 a.m. at The D’Anjolell Memorial Home of Broomall 2811 West Chester Pike 19008. Funeral Mass to follow Wednesday Morning 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church. Interment Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
