Pasquale “Pat,” to his friends, “Sonny,” to his family, V., age 82, on August 21, 2025, of Havertown, PA formerly of South Philadelphia.

Pat was a parishioner at St. Pius X Church. He was a member of the Graphic Communications Union Brotherhood of Teamsters and enjoyed bowling. Pat was an avid lover of all Philadelphia sports. He tended meticulously to his lawn.

Predeceased by his wife, Maryann (nee McMonagle) Lerza, his parents, Mary Ann (nee Preto) and Angelo Lerza, and his sister, Rosemarie Disco (late Dominic).

Survived by his son, James V. Lerza (fiancé Heather Liparota-Perry), his granddaughter, Madeline Lerza, and Olivia and Mason Perry, and his sisters, Rita Lerza and Kathleen Fiorello (Frank).

Relatives & friends are invited to his Viewing Monday, August 25^th 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM followed by his Funeral Service 11:00 AM in the Main Chapel at the DAnjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.

You are in our thoughts. May Sonnys memory be a blessing

I met Sonny when I was ten years old. His sister Rita and I became close friends and found out our Fathers grew up across the street from each other. I was at their house a few nights a week. We were always around the kitchen table, eating, laughing and talking. Though Sonny was 8 years older than us, I think he enjoyed our silliness. He was always kind to me and accepted me as family. They were wonderful times and great memories from “The good old days”. Rest in peace, Sonny. Give my love to your Mom, Dad, Sister and Wife. You are now reunited with your loved ones and Jesus. You will be missed. Sending love, prayers and my deepest condolences to your family, especially my dear Friend, your Sister Rita.
