Paul was born December 15, 1954 in Philadelphia, PA. His parents were the late Sebastian Maugeri and Gertrude Maugeri. Paul is survived by his wife and love of 38 years Patricia (nee Dempsey), and two sons Brandon and Gregory. He was the middle child of three; survived by his older brother Thomas(Susan) and younger brother Robert(Brenda). Extended family Tom & Maureen, Mike & Mary, Rose, Teresa, Karen (Scott), Tut, Joe & Hester, Charlie & Sue. Also survived by nieces and nephews Theresa (Dan), Christina (Nick), David (Amber), Frankie, Gina, Dominique, Thomas, Devon, Carley, Angelina (Scott), Michael, Lauren, Brian, Shawn, Jacqueline, Dawn (Michael), Chad. He graduated from West Catholic Boys High class of 1972 and went on to earn his Associates from St. Joes University. His first job was at a neighborhood gas station where he developed his passion for motorcycles and fixing cars. He made a 35 year career at Berm Studios as a trade show logistics manager. Along with a successful career, he had the very special pleasure of working with his brother Bobby every day up to his retirement in 2010.Paul was an avid baseball fan and loved community service. He merged those passions as the President of Marple Township Little League, where he has a field dedicated in his name. The honor was a bonus for him, his true joy was seeing the smiles of the kids after a game. Paul was a passionate Philadelphia Eagles fan, to put it mildly. He was a season ticket holder for 40 years and saw the team transition from three different stadiums. He loved spending his summers down the shore at Bayberry Cove in Marmora NJ, where he could enjoy the sun and the pleasure of hosting his entire family for a weekend party – family was everything to him.He also enjoyed playing semi-pro football in Southwest Philadelphia. He was an avid workout buff before and during his time with Multiple Sclerosis. He always enjoyed a workout and a challenge – that kept him strong for life’s challenges.Paul was a man of strong faith – he used it as a guiding light which kept him positive and always able to see the beauty in life. He was THE person everyone went to for advice, insight, inspiration, and love. He was a true mentor and had the uncanny ability to bring out the best in everyone. He also loved comedy, which always allowed him to keep a situation light, no matter how trying the times. He loved spending time with and passing his wisdom on to his two sons Brandon and Gregory. His greatest passion was his wife and best friend, Patricia. She was his high school sweetheart and the true love of his life.Paul also made it known that he would like to thank anyone and everyone who has ever helped him throughout his journey. The people he surrounded himself made his life easier than anyone could imagine, and he and his family are forever grateful for the blessing of family and friends.
