Raymond “Ray” Bonanni, age 88, of King of Prussia, PA passed away peacefully at home with his wife and daughters by his side on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Born in Guardiagrele, Italy on October 12, 1936, to the late Luigi and Rosalba Bonanni and the twelfth of 13 siblings.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Lucy (D’Orsogna); his daughters Christina Fortebuono (Nick), Ann Maria Bonanni and Susanna Orangers (Dennis); his grandchildren Joseph Fortebuono, Alexandra Fortebuono, Raymond Fortebuono and Dominic Orangers; his sister Nina DiMartino.
Ray was a retired Union Carpenter, a life member of the Societa of Guardiagrele and an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He loved his home full of family, friends and neighbors; one could not visit without enjoying a glass of wine or a shot of whiskey. He also loved doing home improvements and planting in his vegetable garden. When not at home, he enjoyed his time playing bocce and attending church services.
He was an amazing husband to his wife, who he enjoyed traveling and spending all his time with. His unconditional love for her never went unnoticed. He was so proud of his daughters and grandchildren and thought of his sons-in-law as his own. He also loved visits from his grand and great grand dogs: Gigo, Boo and Gucci.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM on Monday, June 9, 2025, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Villanova, PA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to “The Ann Maria Bonanni Special Needs Trust”, and sent to 728 Suellen Drive, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
Arrangements entrusted to D’Anjolell Funeral Home.
