Rita, (nee DeFeo) age 88, on August 28, 2022 of Broomall, PA formerly of South Philadelphia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Survived by her adoring husband, of 67 years, Frederick A. Ferro. Also, her daughters, Lydia M. Zelle (Craig) and Marita F. Truax. Her six grandchildren; Lydia, Scott, Carli, Alexa, Gianna, Francesca and son-in-law Fran.

Throughout her life, Rita embraced her roles as wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, aunt, and Godmother to many. Her most rewarding role was that of grandmother to her loving, devoted grandchildren.

Rita provided unconditional love, hospitality, fun and too many meals to count, to her family and all who entered her home. She was at her happiest when surrounded by friends, food and family.

Relatives & friends are invited to her Visitation Thursday, September 8th 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM followed by her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM ALL IN CHURCH at St. Anastasia Church 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073 Inurnment Private.
