Long-time Aston resident Robert R. Sexton “Bob” age 88, passed away peacefully on Feb. 13, 2025, surrounded by his wife and children. Bob was born and raised in Maryland and served in the US Army in Germany as a track vehicle repairman during the Korean Conflict. Bob was employed in home building, security at Edgewood Arsenal, and as a mechanic at Boeing Vertol before retiring after 27 yrs. of service as a locksmith and carpenter for Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company. Bob was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid gardener, and enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, shelling on Sanibel Island and spending time with family and friends. He was an active member and served in many capacities for the Aston Lions Club, Voiture 40 and 8, and American Legion Post 926 for many years.
Bob is the son of the late Russell & Maude Sexton, and was predeceased by a sister Irene Remines, brothers Kyle Sexton and Jack Sexton, loving daughter-in-law Anne (nee Mudree) Sexton, and son-in-law Lee Rose.
Bob is survived by his wife Judith (Nee Miller) of 64 years, a son Austin (Beth Warner) Sexton, daughters Jeannette (Gary Witherell) Rose, Deanna (Dominic Montoya) Johnson, Elaine (Rick) Laskoski, 14 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren, a sister Pauline Bieker, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family & Friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday Feb. 25th 9:00am – 10:45am at the Danjolell-Stigale Memorial Home 3260 Concord Rd. Aston, PA 19014.
American Legion service at 10:45am Lions service at 11am
Service at 11am in our Main Chapel. Interment will be at Glenwood Memorial Gardens 2321 West Chester Pike Broomall, PA 19008.
