Robert “Bob” J. Sowers

Robert James, age 75, on July 27, 2025, of Folcroft, PA.

Bob was born in Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in Darby, PA on January 15, 1950. He was raised in Colwyn, PA; he was a graduate in the 1968 Darby-Colwyn High School. Bob enjoyed attending Class reunions and going to luncheons with classmates. Bob loved sports, he played in the Little League baseball and Colwyn Comets football. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.

Bob served in the United States Navy and became a 3^rd Class Petty Officer Deployments, on USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CVA42, USSS Mount Whitney LCC20. He was a member of the American Legion Post 358 and worked at Johnson Matthey – Elements for over 30 years.

Predeceased by his wife, Jonethann Sowers, his father, Ellwood H. Sowers, and his mother, Margaret J. Sowers.

Survived by his brother, John Sowers, his niece, Jenny Lynne Tracz, and his grand nieces, Jessica Lynne Tracz and Juliana Patricia Tracz.

Relatives & friends are invited to his Visitation Friday, August 22^nd 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM followed by his Memorial Service 12:30 PM in the Main Chapel at the DAnjolell-Barone Memorial Home of Wallingford, 908 S. Providence Rd., Wallingford, PA 19008.  Inurnment Private.
